Sherlock - Season 2, Episode 2: The Hounds of Baskerville
The second in the three episode season sees Sherlock and Holmes leave London to investigate the 20 year old murder of man, who was reportedly killed by mysterious hounds, which still haunt the area to this day.
Although I didn’t find this story as compelling as the first, it had several elements which combined made it a fantastic episode.
*Russell Tovey is a revelation to me! He absolutely stole this episode with his performance as the obsessive son of the murdered man.
*Sensory overload - between the blinding lights and high pitched sounds, my senses were bombarded.
*Emotions - I loved seeing Holmes in a more exposed, and more raw light.
*My favourite quote of the series (Holmes to Watson): “Get out! I want to go to my mind palace”.
